THIS IS A STEREOSCOPIC 3D IMAGE!!!

How to view (assuming full view, copied from my other stereoscopic image [link] therefor the word "cone" - simply replace "cone" with "flower" ;) ):
1) Arrange the image in the middle of the screen, everything of the image should be visible. Maybe you'll have to increase the screen resolution to do so.
2) The distance between your eyes and the screen should be roughly about the length of your whole arm.
3) Squint in a way that both, the left and the right cone, match as one image. Once you got it, your brain should lock onto this virtual 3D cone and you should be able to explore the cone as if it was really there, right in front of your nose!

Note: Some of you may know this kind of image, I used the squint technique here, so don't try to "look through" the screen but squint, so that that the left eye sees the right cone and the right eye sees the left cone.

Don't forget to take look at the glas and it's scratches, it's quite interesting too!

Explanation:
To get a 3-dimensional picture of our surrounding, the brain needs two images from two differerent positions. Imagine you are looking at the above cone (I mean the real cone ). Because you have two eyes which are a certain distance apart from each other, they both show the cone from a slightly different perspective. Try it, take your finger hold it near your face and close one eye, then the other. Both pictures are different. The brain takes both images and computes a 3D impression out of them. A computer can do the same, indeed, but that's another story . Now, the only thing I've done (beside cosmetic post processing) is that I photographed the cone from two different perspectives, just like your eyes would do. The only thing you have to do now is to look at the left cone with your right eye and at the right cone with your left eye (well, that's called "to squint" ) and the 3-dimensional reproduction is perfect!
And the best: you can do it all with your own cam too!

Please tell me, if you'd like to see prints of this and similar images.

I was never good in stereoscopic images without a 'viewmaster', nevertheless, this is a stunning photo, if you look at one of them!

Wish I could speak in just one sweep
What you are and what you mean to me
Instead I mumble randomly
You stand by and enlighten me
