Telescope, images, orthodontits and tag.

Recent journal entry:

:bulletgreen: I simply stuffed the optics of my telescope back in it's old tube. Everything is collimated and (nearly) ready for taking some astroshots. At least.
In addition to that I disassembled my webcam and put the board with the ccd onto a piece of wood which acts as a adapter for the eyepieces.

:bulletgreen: I will make additional stereoscopic images for every future macro shot where possible. The original non-stereoscopic deviation will have a link in the description which leads to the stereoscopic version in my scraps.

:bulletred: I need fixed braces to correct my denture. Because my teeth are so weak I had many sessions with the dentist. This resulted in a deformed denture (not visible on the first glance...I didn't notice it many for years but now I see that it's not symmetric :/ ) this again results in corrupted yaw mechanics. My yaw started to make noise several years ago but it's getting worse and worse. My dentist did't told me to go to the orthodontist she just told me that she can't do anything about it. I simply put up with that but now this yaw really annoys me and I went to the orthodontis and he told me that I should wear fixed braces for about 2 - 3 years and even then it's not sure if this loud and and annoying noise will be cured. He told me that everytime I open my mouth, the yaw slips off the cartilage which is usually between yaw and cranial bone. It slips right onto the cranial bone, everytime I open my mouth and when I close it, it slips back onto the cartilage. Of course that's not good for the bones and the cartilage and I'm lucky that it doesn't hurt much because this would mean that they are already scuffed away. When I eat, it makes a terrible noise, most the time it can be heard in the whole room. When I kiss, I first have to bring my yaw in a position where it doesn't slip around. (unfortunately at this position I can't chew food because the back teeth doesn't reach each other)
I'm panically afraid of anything which makes me feel different...operations or...fixed braces...however, I'm much less afraid of braces and I think this will be ok and I will go to the orthodontist and say "Hey, let's try to get rid of this damn yaw noise!".

:bulletblue: I've been tagged by ...well I'd been tagged with this "6 odd features" tag several times before :XD: but what the heck, I'll try to tell you some differen and maybe more recent features.

1:
I shave my legs, although I'm not gay...not yet :giggle: .

2:
On some days I feel like I want to sing. Then I sing. I sing songs like "Morning Has Broken", "Yesterday" or "Let It Be", even "Jingle Bells" or German Chrismas songs in the middle of July :XD: . And sometimes I'm not afraid to sing them on the street or in the supermarket! (Well, "Jingle Bells" does fit when I'm taking frozen food out of a feezer in the supermarket, doesn't it??)
However, on these days I'm more of a parrot than of a depressed artist because I play with the songs and after a while I sing a completely different text or just stuff like "Qua qua~, manabutu ba baaa~~" ^^; .

3:
I'm 25 and still living with my parents. But that's over now, I tell ya! Has to do with my overall very weird mind.

4:
Another thing about my mind: Pay compliments to me and I want more. Attack me and my thoughts and I feel alive. Ignore me and I get angry and cry like a child.

5:
When I was a child I imagined to be a waterfall when I stood under the shower. I was the cliff, the stones, the plants, while the waters flew over me. Sometimes it still happens when I have enough time under the shower. :P

6:
When I eat sweets, I loose weight. I think this is because I lose my appetite but still remain hungry when I eat much sweets. Unfortunately I eat not much other than sweets, that's why I'm so thin. I swear: when I start to do some sports like jogging or training with dumb-bells, I automatically eat more normal things and less sweets and I start to get heavier quickly.

Hmm, I tag whoever wants some. :XD:

Featuring own animation projects:

This is an animation I made for the trailer of a movie, it's reduced in size (0.5x) and the compession is very strong (XviD quality 89) so the image quality is terrible...you need a DivX codec to run it but I'm sure you already have this ;P ). Left or right click on the image to do whith the animation whatever your browser supports:

12 inch project:
This is a 3D-model of the desing I use for the tube, I will enhance this model while making progress whith the project:

I bought the missing 2 aluminum pipes, now they are all complete and I just have to find time and the will to work on them.

Material listing:
8x 25 mm x 25 mm x 2000 mm aluminium pipes.................................about 164 $
screws with nuts (100x), M5x40 mm..............................................................11 $
shims (250x).................................................................................................7 $

8 inch project:

8 inch mirror and tool

The 8 " mirror ist spherical now. Phase 1 of 3 ist finished, I'm now up to smooth it out until it's smooth enough for polishing and parabolisation.

I've detached parts of telescope, washed and cleand the pieces several times with a solvent. I cleaned the metal from fat, dirt and the solvent using ammonia solution and a ton of tissues, I didn't touch the metal except with gloves, sprayed the grounding on the telescope parts, sprayed the black colour on the grounded telescope parts...and then?!? It partially peeled off while/after drying!! Here are some of the parts, 3 are missing because colour and grounding peeled off together (the bright spots on the black parts are highlights - the colour was still wet during the shot):

8 inch tube, screwed up

Here are some other parts, in this case it didn't pelt off but after I sprayed the second layer of black colour on it, it became wrinkly. :cries:
That indicates that it would have pelt off after a while anyway... :cries:

8 inch tube, screwed up

Why is it impossible to get colour on aluminium?!? Do I make the layers too thick??
