Hi folks!

Wed Jul 26, 2006, 6:40 PM
Recent journal entry:
I'm back online!
I'm back in life!

...means that I probably have some time for dA now and that I'm not anymore totally pissed off about life and love...hanging around in gothic-bars is much fun :D ...although sacrificing some of my principles in order to have some more fun in my life is kinda bitter but necessary.

With the next Journal Entry, I'm going to start a series of Journal Entries about telescope-making. I'm not building any telescopes right now, but I started with the 12 " Newtonian some time ago...and I kinda screwed up the 8 " Newtonian I used for my shots...up to now.
No problem, this baby isn't broken, it's just a bit...unusable...at the moment. :XD:

The 3D animation is finished. It's not toooo exciting but, hey, it's my first real animation... :D
Improovements of this planet and high-res renders are following.
Here is the link to the animation (it's reduced in size (0.5x) and the compession is very strong (XviD quality 89) so the image quality is terrible...you need a DivX codec to run it but I'm sure you already have this ;P ):

I'm featuring a friend, again, cause I'm still the only person who watches him...and there should be more, so go NOW and check him out:

Coming up:
:bulletgreen: Movie trailer collab, containing my 3D-Mountain fly-by animation!!
:bulletblue: I'll submit my selfmade telescope tube either as telescope making tutorial or as...dunno, some kind of sculpture?? I have to look which categories exist...
:bulletblue: ornamental images to enhance my journals appearence
:bulletblue: shots of some skaters I met, tried to freeze their jumps...but not totally :)
:bulletblue: shots of water fountains - first experiences with freezing water in time
:bulletblue: trying to go on with that 'The Day After' stuff
:bulletgreen: other Mojoworld scenes are waiting to be rendered - the beach I promised is nearly completed...
:bulletgreen: real 3D stuff using Maya
:bulletblue: hopefully I'll submit some more digital drawings - I'm practicing...from time to time...
:bulletgreen: trying to do more studio macros and maybe other studio shots

Legend: :bulletgreen: = work in progress; :bulletblue: = could take a while; :bulletpurple: = currently frozen; :bulletred: = project canceled

Sweet animation :)
You could make animations of possible extrasolar planets You know... judging from what we know about them...

Thanks. :)
Hehe ;) I try from time to time to make planetary images (and animations) but somehow I don't get the atmosphere's shading right with this program... :(
I'm working on this ^^ would be cool...to know that there ist a class M Star with some Hot Jupiters or whatever around and to make an animation of how it could look like, taking as much information about this system into account as possible...coool! :excited:

In the subject of astrophotography... yesterday I had wonderful weather... seen milky way up to 10 degrees above horizon... stars 6.7 mag visible through naked eye... simply the greatest night I had this year :)

As for renderings... can't wait to see them.
Source? This might be helpful... [link] :)
